Simmons is a good option at lead off or the two hole. High OBP, can steal bases, good contact hitter.  I think he will score a lot of runs. We'll see what Hermosillo looks like.

Marte in the lineup over Kinsler is a plus. Hermosillo doesn't have to do much to be better than Calhoun.....

I like Herm at 9. Good place to serve as a table setter and turn the lineup over, but also not a ton of pressure to produce.

Expectations are extremely tempered.

Do pitchers need to bend at the waist and bend the arms in strange ways in order to set the pitch sign from the catcher? I just noticed the A's pitcher Josh Lucas getting the sign from his catcher and it seemed odd to me.

Switch Ohtani and Pujols, and put Rivera in for Maldonado, and it's good.

Does Scioscia think the world will end if dear Albert moves a bit down in the lineup?
