I think I'm done with Chris Young as our 4th outfielder. Time to promote Jabari Blash who is slashing .379/.474/.924 with an 1.399 OPS. Blash also holds the PCL lead with teammate Chris Carter with 9 HR's.

drop Valbuena too, call up Blash and Fernandez to fill their spots

And have no back up centerfielder.

The offense is in a slump.  I expect better going forward.

But the pitching staff is fragile and there is a glaring vacancy at the top.  Glaring.  That's not new news and it is killing the team.

20 years later and I am.saying the same thing:  you cannot make up for vacancies at the top by adding to the back.

How many additional #4 and #5 starters make up for not having a reliabke 180 inning 3.60 starter?  It can't be done.

Can't wait for all these back half of the rotation starters to be healthy all at once!!!!!

Trout's had what? 1 or 2 days off out of 28 games? We don't need to carry someone for something like that. Worst case put Calhoun there. If he's out for a run of games, then we call up a CF.

He’s never played there, not in the big leagues.   Your 4th outfielder needs to play all three positions.

yea but Trout is going to be playing everyday anyways, a CF may have to catch 2-3 balls a game. Most of them will be routine. Calhoun has played there before in his career in college/minors.

In 2015 we went w/ a emergency lineup with Giavotella at SS and Pujols at 3B at KC. It went fine. If we need a CF everyday then we make a move, but for a couple innings or one game we'll be fine. But to carry Chris Young is pointless, we need someone that can hit that will push PT away from Calhoun. Calhoun isn't hitting but we have no option b/c Young is bad too.
