Are the Indians this good or are we this bad?

The Indians do what they need to do to win. Savvy and resourceful, from the manager on down through the roster.

We don't.

To see what they're doing even with the loss of Brantley and Zimmer, is just amazing.

I'd say the Angels have been savvy and resourceful to try and keep this heavily flawed and marginal roster afloat despite a myriad of injuries. Look how many guys have contributed this season who weren't even on the roster last year. The difference is that the Indians have more top-end talent on their roster where they can account for players missing time. The Angels simply aren't there yet.

The angels did just as well as the Royals, the Tigers, the White Sox, the Orioles, and the Tigers again (and looking back, teams like the Twins, the Astros, and the Rangers have also been swept this year by the Indians). That being said, we needed to not get swept, and we did, and the Angels should be ashamed.

Both, are we forgetting that we now trail the former LASTROS by 17.5 games. Cleveland didn't teach us anything we didn't already know.

And it took years of coming in LASTRO to become relevant.

You guys can't handle 2nd place. Praise Houston all you want. They once won 162 games . . . over a 3-year period. Over one 6-year stretch their highest finish was 4th in the division.

in 2007, they drew over 3 million fans for the 3rd time in 4 years. Five years later , their attendance had dropped by 47%

Houston has been to 1 World Series. Houston has never won a World Series. Houston has never won a World Series game.

I'll stick with the Angels.

We scored a run in the first inning yesterday and never scored again, against a scrubeenee starter and bp.

They went up by three in the top of the fifth and it stayed that way.

They have the best bp in baseball.

their starter has a whip of 1.27. We have 7 guys that have made 10 or more starts. Only Bridwell has a better whip @ 1.25.

There's no quit in the Angels.  They get kicked in the shorts after painful losses and come right back fighting the next day.  This grind has to be grueling to not get rewarded more often in this wild card race.  You wonder if the players that are back in 2018 aren't mentally tougher.
