Does CJ Wilson Get a Qualifying Offer After the Season?

If he gets healthy and if the qualifying offer (QO) system remains the same, after the next collective bargaining agreement, do we give CJ Wilson a QO?  I don't recall the Angels extending QOs to anyone in the past.

No chance he gets a QO because I don't see any team giving him a multi-year deal or giving him $14 million AAV. He's gonna be a 36 yr old pitcher who had just missed the entire season due to injury. HE's likely looking at some cheap 1yr deal from some team who hopes that maybe he can be healthy and give them solid production

It's ironic that Wilson was a stud in that bandbox in Arlington, yet struggled so much in the pitcher's park over here.

Well, he was pretty decent in 2013. I'll give him that.

If he still wants to pitch it will be an invite to spring training type of deal. Angels won't give a qualifying offer.

He'll have a wonderful Spring, make the roster and start nibbling, then get hurt in May and be gone for the season.

He's not healthy and he's not going to get healthy, so no.

btw, even if Wilson was having a tremendous season, there is still no way you offer him a qualifying offer.  Dude is gonna be 36.

Having a farm system would go a long way to stopping this from happening
