Also, it's tough to tell what we're going to get with Weaver. One good start, one bad. It was great to see Shoemaker with a solid outing in his last start.

I think we'll continue to see Weaver struggle on the road and pitch well enough at home. I think we can live with that if everyone else is healthy and going ok. Hopefully that will allow us to move some of these other arms to the bullpen to straighten out that disaster. Wilson, Shoemaker, or Tropiano might be good options for us in the pen if we can get everyone else working well out of the rotation.

I think Weaver should be out of the rotation.  He'll have good results, sometimes.  All pitchers do.... that's why batters hit .260, not .560.  It's tough to hit.

I'm more concerned about the offense scoring 7 runs one night and 2-3 the next 2-3 days because that was a problem last year.

If the pitching staff feels it will get reasonable support most nights I think they will hold more leads.

Someday soon Trout is going to get hot, and when Trout is hot the entire team gets hot. So far this year we have been a mediocre team and Trout has been awful. He won't continue to be awful and teams are going to pay.

 

If this was Trout's rookie season he would be going back to AAA, based on his performance to date this season. That can't continue he is too good.
