There's a lot of over used terms ("jokes") on AW. However when tdawg says season over its usually funny.

Just shows how worthless pre-season is. Nobody cares about pre-season except the scrubs fighting for a spot.

That being said, it was just one game, and Arrietta was pitching.

I said it was just one game. If you're going to argue with me that pre-season is worth a damn, I'm going to disagree.

I don't think pre season standings mean much, but I believe players performance means something early in games. So if Choi does shitty against major league pitching in innings 1-5 but rakes against minor leaguers in the last few innings I can assume he is what he is. If Bedrosian pitches well in spring when facing real major leaguers that means something.

He was extremely mediocre for four years, got a little better in 2014, then became all-time great in 2015. A little weird if you ask me.

He used to be a top prospect so the potential was always there for Arrieta to become a good pitcher. Sometimes a change of scenery is needed for players before things finally click.
