Yet another player who isn't set to hit FA until 2020, as was Friedrich. Yeah a lot of it is circumstantial but I can't help but notice how many of the players Eppler's acquired have multiple years of control should they pan out, with most not hitting FA until around 2020, Trout's final year.

Look, it's a low-risk move with upside--but let's not go crazy.

Alright check this out. How many relievers are there on a 25 man roster in MLB at any time? 200?

Now if a man pitches three years out of four with an ERA south of 3.00, I think we could all agree such a reliever would rank probably among the top 50, maybe even top 20 at that time.

So yeah jerk-face, Javy Guerra was one of the better relievers in the game for a little while.

Dude was really impressive with the Dodgers a few years ago.

Yep. 21 Saves in 2011, 8 more in 2012. A solid career ERA of 2.92, a decent strikeouts per innings ratio.

The only alarming stat is his career 1.40 WHIP.

That said, if you look at his career minor league stats as a reliever (he stunk as a starter) he's quite impressive.

A solid pickup errrrrr peanut.

Hopefully a few of these guys we picked up turn out to be something. (Crossing fingers, but not holding breath)

This is not hard to look up, out of relief pitchers with 40+ innings his rank in mlb

2011: 29

2012: 47

2014: 78

Also have you looked at his WHIP?
