Yeah, I don't know how someone would be ecstatic or openly roots for Westwood. Golf is one of the few things I don't root against anyone or hope someone does bad, but find nothing exciting about Westwood winning. It doesn't raise the game or attract others. Would remind me of when Zach Johnson won a couple years ago, just no one really cares.

#12 - wow, jordan. on sportscaster he said he changed his mind on the tee shot to play a little cut, and it failed miserably. took responsibility for it. but that second shot into the water was just like any of us would have done. it got into his head and he couldn't shake it loose. that was pretty brutal to watch.

i had to leave  so never saw his putt on 16, but checked my phone about 20 minutes later and saw that he was back to -2. ouch.

gonna take a while to recover from this. hope he has good people around him.

Spieth, four straight birdies to finish off the front nine. Five-shot lead.

It's over.

Ha. This is when I had to stop watching to leave for a few hours. Had no idea he lost until Adam made a comment.

Then I turned on the tv....

To his credit, Spieth handled it as well as any golfer I've ever seen, regardless of age. He answered every question thoughtfully and honestly, including taking blame for his mistakes. He'll be just fine moving forward. One thing he doesn't lack is confidence in his game. If he hadn't won last year he may have responded differently, but that isn't the case.

I don't watch a lot of golf on TV, but the final round of The Masters is usually one of the exceptions. I thought that Spieth had it in the bag, then he played that water hole like I would have.

I would have played it different.

I would have gone long into the bunker, then into the water, then back into the bunker and repeat.

i only played golf with you once, but i can vouch for this.

i, on the other hand, would have hit it into the woods about 30 yards beyond the hole.
