new orleans rained out saturday and sunday. going to finish monday and a 54 hole event.

I wondered why so few scores got posted...

Looks like just a playoff for the win between 3 players..

Stuard wins the playoff on the second hole. Played (and won) the entire tournament without a bogey, the first time that's happened in New Orleans since Trevino did the same in 1974.

just finished reading a new book this afternoon. "How to dominate in a playoff by making good decisions and even better swings" by Brooks Koepka.

boy, that was brutally ugly.

Any time that Sergio wins a tournament, it is not a good day.

Bad weather has stopped play. Lightening, wind, showers. Going to be like that tomorrow also.

Too bad. This course is hard enough without having changing conditions making it tougher. I hate it when tee times, and luck of the draw make such a big difference in major tournaments, especially the open, which is meant to be the hardest test of everyone's complete game.

This storm his us yesterday, it was crazy.  Golf ball sized hail and some tornadoes in the central part of the state.

They're not going to get much more golf in today. Latest forecast is for thunderstorms growing in intensity by 4 pm.

Good news is tomorrow looks pretty decent, and the weekend just hot and humid.

Weather is much better today and the greens are soft form lots of rain.

It's only going to get harder from here on out.

Damn, Day (+6) is having a brutal round, and what makes it worse is he's playing with my guy Adam Scott.

Dragging him down, too.

Ooosty is in this threesome and he is playing awful too (+4).

The 624th ranked player in the world is leading the U.S. Open.

The #1 ranked player is ten strokes back and in danger of missing the cut.

Great stuff to watch...it's only the middle of round 2 and anything can happen still.

Watching the par 4 17th. That Asian 3some I mentioned earlier...well.. they were going back and forth over the green..and all had at least 6 shots and nobody was in the hole yet. Official had them step aside and the group behind was asked to hit up.

Scott and Oosty both drove onto the green. Day was off to the left.

Asians were all shaking their heads and grumbling.

Billy Hurley III getting his first Tour win is the story of the year. Good for him. He got an exemption this week and won it with four rounds in the 60's.

He's been through hell this past year with his Dad's unexplained suicide.

The July 7-10 tournament at the Greenbrier in West Virginia has been cancelled due to floods this week. The water was raging through the property like it was the Nile. No way to get the course in playing shape in time.
