Anyone headed down to Torrey to take is some golf? I'd be there if I was still in OC...

It's so easy. Take the train to Del Mar-Solana Beach and there's a shuttle. At least there used to be.

Pretty cool to walk the grounds and get to see the golfers up close. Thurs-fri used to be my favorite days to go, as, early in the season lots of good players miss the cut, so going early in the week you get to see pretty much everyone. (Plus the crowds are smaller during the weekday rounds.)

I used to go to La Costa when the had the WGC match play there. That was really a great tourn, and a great place to follow the rounds.

Miss that.

It's a better than usual field for the clambake this year.

I'm loaded for bear in the fantasy league with Speith, D Johnson, J Walker, Sneds, Koepka, Holmes, Lowrey, Na.

Full speed ahead and damn the torpedos..I'm going to get another bump in the standings.

looks like a good week for you

to finish in second place!

Has anyone here attended a Ryder Cup event? I bought tickets for this years' event at Hazeltine. I have the wednesday practice round and Friday-Saturday all day passes. My current thought is to get to the first tee for Friday's opening round for the intros and then follow a couple of pairings that are the most intriguing.

I haven't, but I do have a Hazeltine experience, sort of....

I ended up sitting next to Fuzzy Zoeller at Wrigley Field back in 91, right after the Open which was held up there.

He had what I recall as the low round of the final day, but missed the playoff by a couple strokes....

And what struck me was...almost nobody recognized him. He bought beers and cracked jokes the whole game.

It was an experience..
