#Angels also have considered signing Jason Heyward and moving Kole Calhoun to left field.

Upton would be a great addition. Not as great as Heyward but a fraction of the cost. He is exponentially better than Cespedes and Gordan. Imagine replacing Matt Joyce with Upton! Completely different team.

Last I heard on LAA, Justin Upton was they checked in & were expected to engage more seriously, w/ all premier OFs, when market gets going.

I didn't realize Upton was a 4.4 WAR player last year. Much better than I expected. I'd be pumped if we signed him.

If we can't get Gordon, and Heyward's demands are what is rumored, I would take Upton.  Besides, Calhoun doesn't need to move from RF to LF in this case.

A 2B with OBP doesnt exist nowadays, so that is a little much to ask. I dont know whos really available, id higly doubt we can get a 2nd basemen this offseason.

Sign Upton or Heyward. Trade for Evan Longoria. Sign a solid bullpen arm. Thats a championship level team. Unfortunately we have nothing left to trade.

Fletcher is good at making a distinction between his opinion or what is being thrown around by others and what the Angels have actually said to him.  He doesn't frame his comments to lead people on.  I like that.
