2015 WS predictions?

Recommended Posts

Daniel Murphy defeats the Royals by himself. He slugs 10 home runs in the 4 games of the series as the Mets sweep the Royals. The Angels proceed to sign Daniel Murphy to a 5 year 75 million dollar deal this offseason. Murphy hits .255/.295/.340 with 8 HR in his 1st season with the Angels and becomes the new Angels scapegoat.

Boom.

THIS^^^^^
Angels_Baseball beat me to it
I was also going to add that he would surpass Ruth (twice)Pujols Jackson and Sandoval by hitting not 3, but 4 hrs in 1 game.
Book it.

AW brain trust notably absent from this thread.

I didn't make a prediction, but I would have been wrong. I would have said Mets in 6 or 7 because of their starting pitching and how good Familia had been doing into the series. I just wanted to see a good series and the Mets defense pretty much ruined that for me.

Do not go after Murphy, the post-season and late in the regular season exposed his defensive liabilities.

Contact hitting will usually have a solid chance against a fastball oriented rotation, granted Harvey pitched 8 brilliant innings in game 5.

I'm going to say Mets in 6 because they had better pitching in their LCS than did KC.  I'll go with the stronger pitching.

In the LCS:

KC ERA = 4.5, NYM = 2.0

KC WHIP = 1.346, NYM = 0.833

KC BB/9 = 4.15, NYM = 2.25

good call
