Of course it’s screwed up. I think everyone should pay the same rate or go towards some type of consumption tax. Taking half or two thirds of someone’s money is robbery

First the richest don't pay zero.  They know how deductions work, and use it to their full advantage.  

Second, how will the money be better spent?  To the government to fund wars and crazy trains.  Or if the individuals invest that tax dollar themselves, or if they are really rich, philanthropy?  In other words, is the Gates Foundation wasting money, or should they give it to the government where you absolutely know the money will be wasted.  Would the individual investing that tax dollar in a company stock heck or even in a savings account be better than giving that money to the government?

If he’s giving away so much money through the gates foundation how is it that his net worth just keeps sky rocketing ? Sort of odd.
 

I think his foundation is PR scam.  I think he gives to it because he knows it’s less than the alternative.  And finally I think that the conservative position that social issues should be addressed through philanthropy and like churches is laughable absurdity.  Even if “philanthropic” world wasn’t loaded with fraud (it is) these organizations simply cannot deal with these problems at the scale that it required.  Why don’t you just say that you think that people who are unable make ends meet should fuck off and die.  That would be more honest.
