This brings up an interesting dilema. If Trout is out for an extended period of time (please Lord, no) does that make Stoney more willing to make a trade for a more productive player? For someone that makes us give up a top prospect or two? Hmmmm...

I realize this team is basically devoid of offensive talent outside of Trout, Albert and Calhoun, but one of the things Scioscia led teams do (in the regular season) is rise up during adversity. So if he misses a few games it won't be the end of the world. Even if he goes on the 15 day DL, we will be fine. If there is something seriously wrong that requires surgery, well, then we are screwed this year.

Since so many are wondering, the Angels are always pretty tight with releasing inject info so don't read anything into the delay.
