It's not a good idea on the part of Baltimore City and the Orioles...

They've got the National Guard there now, and the game seems like it would be a good alternative to just hanging-out on the streets.

 

At the same time, I haven't been to Baltimore in a long time.  Maybe Camden Yards is too close to ground-zero there, and Officials are afraid of what might happen AFTER the game.

 

*But, it also means that my sunday game this week will out-draw the Orioles!

Angels drew fans to the park, even back in the 70's and 80's when good years were counted on one hand.

Most of them were other teams fans or local business types who seldom payed much attention to the game going on.

sad commentary -- they should have moved the games either to the other team's city or to Washington, DC to play in the Nationals park.

 

I think I would have just postponed the game rather than have them play to an empty ballpark.
