Leonard Nimoy was so much more than Spock, although that unique character will be his enduring gift to all of us. I  attended a gathering at the Civic Auditorium in Jacksonville in the mid 1970s at which Nimoy spoke, and I came away impressed at how knowledgeable he was about a number of different subjects. By all accounts he was a kind, caring and intelligent man. We are richer to have known him, and poorer for his passing.

He was terrific in an episode of Columbo, playing a surgeon who kills a colleague. One of the more sinister Columbo villains.

They're currently showing the episode of Rawhide that Nimoy did where he plays an Indian.

William Shatner is being taken apart on Facebook for his decision not to go to Nimoy's funeral the day after his charity fund raiser in Florida.

I used to be glued to "In Search Of" that he narrated.  RIP Spock.  My favorite character from the series.

I loved that show and the music (which was downright spooky to listen to as a child) they'd usually play in the background during each episode.

Definitely will watch.  I love seeing somewhat typecast actors playing in other roles.  I believe he did several western themed shows before Star Trek.
