so who do we target to play LF?

Looks like we will be without Hambone for a while, and Joyce doesn't seem like a full time player. And we have no outfield prospects.

What players should we target from other teams?

One thing about Ethier is you probably wouldn't worry about a failed drug test or anything like that. The guy is as clean cut as they come.

 

He's just not the same player production wise as he used to be. I don't know the reason for that.

In all honesty, this is what I'd do. 

 

1. Platoon Matt Joyce and Collin Cowgill in LF.

2. Trade whoever doesn't win the 2B/UTIF job to San Diego for Carlos Quentin and a couple million dollars.  Put Quentin in at DH. 

 

The Angels have the payroll flexibility to pull this off and still be able to make a big time acquisition at the trade deadline if they need to.
