Get the Dodgers to pay most of the contract. There is obvious bad blood brewing between him and the organization. Give him the starting job in left and throw in a minor leaguer. He is more established offensively and is better than the options we are currently considering.

 

 

No he's not. He's pretty much a more expensive Matt Joyce now. Angels already have a platoon OFer who can't hit LHP for a fraction of the cost. I'd rather they not help out the Dodgers by taking Ethier off their hands, even at a reduced price. They don't need the guy at all. He can't hit for power, he can't run, and he can't hit lefties.

I think a LF or DH should be an open possibility if they aren't filled from within. Meaning the club doesn't trust Cron to DH, or Cowgill/Green in LF.

Victorino, Quentin, Ethier, I think that all being something positive to the equation.

Joyce is our LF'er for the time being. The real question is who plays second? I understand that you never have enough pitching, but don't trade a position player unless you already have a replacement.
