That was one of the first songs I thought of but other than the opening lyric it isn't really a Christmas song.

grammatically, it would be better to say "the Lord has arrived", but i'm guessing the author took some poetic license to make it fit in the song a little better.

I assumed it was some sort of poetic license, but it still doesn't quite make sense.  "The Lord is here" would work just as well.  

 

I probably care about this a bit too much.  As Rambo said to the hick sheriff, "let it go.  Let it go."
