watching dr. king's "i have a dream" speech today with the 8th graders. what a great speaker. there's a point at the end of the speech where he abandons his script and the preacher in him takes over. pretty powerful stuff.

I've spent the last two days reading a long ass thread about a kid on Twitch that just started playing poker and is godawful, but deposited 2k or so and ran it up to over 40k in a night running like god, then the next night donking off half, and now seems to be break even or slowly losing it all back.

Aside from gems of playing and pure craziness, there are things like his buddy hopping on why he grabs some cereal and magically hits backdoor trips for something like 3-5k, he calls or receives calls from booty calls.....he asks one girl to come over and she says her kids are asleep, he says they will be fine and to stay the night haha.

It's the insane degen story of pure luck with a comedy twist as everything is streamed live on Twitch. The people in the chat box talked him into playing plo, which he doesn't even know how to pronounce properly, and he drops ~5k in a couple hands.

The guy doesn't know what he's doing but somehow sat down at the highest stakes offered and crushed it to the tune of almost 40k. The best part was that as avid players were watching, he may not have been the worst player at the table!

Just finished that poker thread (something like 50 pages and 100 posts each page). Just wow.

 

Former boyband member starts playing poker, runs a bankroll up to 40k and dumps it all within days.

 

This was a gem from the end of his massive downswing the second night where he gets his aces cracked and calls a hooker up while on air haha.

Just had Baby Blues BBQ in West Hollywood.  Now that was some good BBQ.

We drove out to Salt Lake City on Friday to pick up our new family member.  We rescued an 8 week old Border Collie.  We brought back her mother with us to a family that adopted her.  Over 500 miles on Friday and another 500 miles yesterday with two dogs in the car.

You need to start following ice hockey in the off season. It will give you another reason to kick yourself (for not having done it sooner).
