felt like a 4 yr deal for him was one too long.  but he brings so much to the table behind the dish and makes your pitchers better which is tough to assign value to.  He's no slouch with the bat, but even if he has one of his .230/.700 season with the bat, you are still getting that value behind the dish.  It's at least debatable that the Jays will get enough value out of this deal to make it worth it.  The term and the AAV aren't horrendous.  Because of his defense and game calling abilities, it's unlikely this will be a total bust.
