Honestly that blown save/loss on Sunday it was pretty evident that Street was a little worn out from the previous 2 games, he wasn't fooling anyone.

Not sure if closers are used to pitching 3 nights in a row, because it seems like it's been so long since we had a decent one, but maybe we shoulda gone with someone else after 3 hits in a row. Either way, it seemed like everyone understood what happened on Sunday and it was great to see him back in action tonight.

Agreed, I was actually thinking they would use Smith for the 9th until I realized that he had also pitched two straight nights in a row. Speaking of which, Smith was able to hold the lead in the 8th despite being in the same situation as Street. Everyone is different I guess, and maybe Smith has pitched in three straight games more often since he has been a set-up guy? In any event, at least the team will know this going forward, and luckily, we have a strong bullpen that could fill in for a game if Street needs a rest.

Sample size is small, but we finally got our Shield/K-Rod combo. I am confident if the Angels have the lead after 7 and WTF would have expected that a couple months back?

And they all are back next year, assuming Street's option is exercised....that was a big thing with the Street deal to me....this team can contend next year too and you have your closer nailed down.....that's big....
