I like Shoey ... he was a undrafted college player. He also played in the 2011 World Cup team and the 2011 Pan America games. This competitive experience should be very helpful come playoff time.

Looks to be a nice find by the Angels scouts.

Lackey has one thing going for him that Shoemaker doesn't. He's a double threat in St. Louis. He gives the Cardinals an extra starting pitcher, plus he gives Anheuser-Busch depth in case one of the Clydesdales goes on the DL.
