I hope Sosh will reconsider always letting the starter spill a little gas on the way out. After the way Weaver struggled to get out of the 6th and already at 100 pitches and with a fully rested pen there was no excuse for him to come out for the 7th.

With Thatcher, Morin, Grilli, Jepsen, Smith fully rested and available to get 9 outs there's no reason to let veteran deference dictate that the starter stay too long. Now add Street to the mix the staff is 6 innings and a maybe if they are cruising.

Our bp is dope now just like 2002, we are going back to the dance!

the angels have a very tough road ahead. the A's are no joke. a positive way to look at it would be the angels are going to have to grind it out to make the playoffs, division winner or post wildcard playin, and they should be battle tested by that point. always a good way to be going into the playoffs.

Completely agree with you. I was at the game last night and couldn't believe Sosh brought Weaver back out in the 7th. Just ridiculous.

I like how people say "I was at the game" as if that gives them some kind of unique perspective. ;)

Weaver has been very mediocre so far this season, when his pitch count approaches 100.

I hope Scioscia is now seeing how deep the pen is, and no longer being unafraid to pull Weaver after the 6th in that situation in the future.

Is that typical in an extra-inning game? To use your closer(s) first, then bring in the rest of the bullpen as the game goes beyond 9, 10 innings?
