Honestly, I don't really follow minor league players anymore . I'm guessing 90% of those outraged here have never see these prospects play. Cal League stats do nothing for me. I've been thru decades of "top prospects" who sucked ass once they faced major leaguers.

Last I remember Amarista and Segura were supposed to take over for Kendrick and Aybar.

This trade helps is now. Did we overpay? We'll know that in the future. For now, I'm going to enjoy 2014.

In 2016, Angels win pay $39 million more for Pujols, Hamilton, Weaver, Wilson and Trout than this year. $34 million if you take into consideration Trout's signing bonus. Who needs a farm system?

This is not a young club. When things are clicking you need to add the pieces you need to win it all.

I agree on Street's ERA from here on out being around 3.00 because that's what he is: a low to mid 3 ERA reliever. It's not bad and it helps the pen but we paid the price of a sub 2 ERA and we won't get that value back. It's a bad idea to buy high on players. It's a terrible idea to buy high on relievers who fluctuate so much within a season and from year to year

For the rest of this season. This bullpen is going to need to be rebuilt AGAIN this offseason and there's now less to do that with.
