We can argue over how good we think Santiago is but at the end of the day if this happens it's Trumbo for Skaggs and Santiago which is a fantastic deal.  Santiago is, at worst, equivalent to Cahill, and we all never thought we would get Cahill and Skaggs for Trumbo.

Just looked up Hector.....not impressed at all. That 1.40 whip is alarming. 

 

I'm sure fans of other teams are looking at Trumbo's .294 OBP% and saying the same thing. Hector has his issues, no doubt, and his ceiling is probably a solid #4, but that's the likely target range we are looking at for Trumbo. The real steal is getting Skaggs in the deal. He had a bad season and his velocity did dip(red flags) but this may be a good situation to buy low on him. He was a top 25 prospect on every major publication this past season and when he's going he's got ace potential.

Ugh -- this could be ugly, we just don't have much to give away.

 

As an aside -- I brought most of my staff over from CA to FL with me.  The entire office is being useless watching MLB Network on the big screens.

Probably one from the Halos and one from the White Sox(since they are getting Eaton). I assume Sox would give up a better prospect

This is actually good news, the Angels don't have a pair of good prospects to give up, so they must be coming to AZ from the WhiteSox!
