Mediocre numbers overall, but has held lefties to a career .164/.255/.231 line

 

Should be nowhere near a right handed batter though.

Yeah, as long as he's used correctly(vs lefties) not bad. Minimal risk there. Works for me

 

if there are posters upset with this they need to take a breather from the offseason

Why a minor league deal? Seems like with numbers like that (against lefties) he should be the situational lefty. Burnett's splits are closer to even than that.

I wanted Howell but he's a cheaper version and can provide similar value, possibly. I would hope he makes the team because it would be nice to have a killer LOOGY.

Well Sean Burnett can get righties and lefties out so Rapada is a good sign to get out those tough lefties..

It actually kind of looks like the bullpen won't have much competition this spring, except for hopefully the swingman spot because Blanton is Blanton.

 

I think either one of Jepsen or Salas could be cut for a fraction of their salary on their arb deals at that point though, I guess.
