"The only change is a re-configuring in the amount of a few ingredients — Burger King won't say what they are — so that less oil is absorbed by the thinner batter."

the fact that there's more in a french fry than potatoes, the cooking oil, and some salt should be alarming to all of us.

In N Out is not impressed.

"It's not realistic to ask people to replace french fries with carrots or celery sticks," says Keri Gans, a registered dietitian hired by Burger King.

That's kind of sad.

I actually agree with the quote. There's food that's good for you and then there's fast food, but it's a need.

I thought the ingredients for fries were potato, oil and salt. Am I wrong?

yes you are. apparently there's all kinds of chemical additives as well. it's hard to argue with the result when it comes to taste, but they've been selling us a bill of goods. their fries are poison.

Yeah, In N Out's fries are terrible if you wait more than 5 minutes to eat them.

I wake up early so my lunch is usually around 11:00. For some reason their food is much better before noon. It's probably because the produce is more fresh and they have more time to cook the fries right.
