2012 were crazy lucky.

Bullpen performance has a high degree of variance.

Last year's pen had a better ERA and WHIP, by quite a significant amount actually. This year's team has fewer blown saves but there is still plenty of time for them to catch up.

 

Fewer blown saves because our starting pitching is so bad this  year.  We haven't had has many leads late in the game.

No way. Jepsen is awful and I am sick of seeing him in an Angels uniform. I'm sure he'll go somewhere else and find success but he obviously won't find it here.

Burnett's surgery was minor and it wasn't really seen as a gamble to sign him.  Madson, certainly, but not Burnett.

Yeah, not sure what his deal is. After reading a couplle news articles on him, it sounds like he just forgot how to pitch effectively.

He's not injured or anything, and he's only 28, and only a couple years removed from being one of the better setup men in the league.

It was minor and didn't lead to his current injury. Wilson had the same surgery and he was fine as are most. The risk was almost negligible.
