I could see Rosenberg and maybe Detmers  get optioned.

Herget or Ingram could replace em.

They can’t really bring up Wantz, because he’s close to reaching his options limit for the season.

Yeah, Rosenberg should definitely be gone.  Detmers would make sense if they plan on either skipping his next turn in the rotation or giving it to Canning.

I can’t see Detmers getting another start. The only reason for Detmers not to be optioned is if they want to put him in the pen, which I think would be awful for the long-term outlook of the team and his development.

Lol, maybe not.  This is odd.

Probably won't be a huge deal one way or the other, but I am kinda confused by why they didn't send Rosenberg down.  He obviously won't be available for 4-5 days after his workload last night, so unless they're for some reason considering starting him in Detmers' slot next week, why wouldn't you kick him back to AAA for a warm body?

Everyone in the lineup except Thaiss with ten homers or more. But all between 10 - 17 except Ohtani. Renfroe and Trout the only others likely with 20 plus this year.

Without Trout they have been suffering without that back to back power potential.  Even in a relatively down year he always was a threat for the big blast.

Despite Drury, Moustakas, Moniak being hot at various times it still hasn't compensated from losing Trout.

The middle of the lineup hasn't had stability. And that doesn't even factor in Rendon, the disappearing man who was supposed to anchor third base and provide extra base production.

A stable regular day to day lineup (allowing for situational substitutions ) has evaded this franchise and really hurt them.

Not a lot of options at SLC…

When do teams stop pitching to Olson?

He might get some pitch-arounds, but they have guys like Sean Murphy, Marcell Ozuna, and Eddie Rosario behind him usually. They're obviously not at Olson's level, but they're not easy outs, either.  Plus, they have Acuna, Albies, and Riley AHEAD of him, so there's a good chance at least one of them will be on base when he hits, meaning multiple runners on if you walk him.  Just a nightmare for opposing pitchers.

So your are saying no one is going to go full Maddon when he is up to bat.

Olson's got 13 home runs and 33 RBI's in the last 26 games. Nobody is even talking about Riley and he's got 12 home runs and 31 RBI's in the last 26 games. Albies has 25 RBI's in the last 26 games. Ocuna and Harris have OPS over 1.000 during that span and Arcia at .963. They are clicking on all cylinders right now.

The Braves were so right on Olson. That's what good organizations do. They lose a player like Freeman, and are able to replace him with a younger lower salaried player and get even more production.
