Just last year @Brandon helped me with a refi.  Super nice guy.  My SIL was in the middle of some real estate stuff at the time and while he wasn't able to help her directly, he did give her several recommendations that helped her through the process.

Will miss his stories about KC.

We all struggle at times, he was no different. What made him different was his focus was always on everyone else and ensuring they were good. I saw this manifest in countless ways over the years. As happens in life, we had gone adrift and weren't in contact as much in recent years but when we occasionally would text, it felt like we had seen each other recently. We all say it all the time but most of us don't act on it, stay in communication with those special people you cross through your life.

What in holy hell is going on this week?  While I didn’t know @Brandonnearly as much as I did with @Lou, it still hurts knowing that another AW friend and poster is gone.  

As @ten ocho recon scoutstated earlier, baseball is just a game.  This site brings fans together, and has spawned friendships that will last years.  

It’s been a really tough week, but it will get better.  Very sad week.

I’m incredibly thankful for this community and super blessed to have been able to keep it going for almost 20-years now. The friendships & memories from here is priceless.

This is unbelievable. @Brandon was another of the OG from way back. We used to hang out in the IRC chat room during the games, on one of the old boards. That's going back a ways.

I remember Brandon as someone who had a lot of different interests, as well as his financial and real estate knowledge, and of course the Chiefs.    He was truly blessed to see them win two Super Bowls just as all were blessed who knew him.

R.I.P. Brandon, you were taken waaaaay too soon.

I picked a bad week to log in and check up on things. It has been a while, but Brandon was probably the person I spent more time PMing over the years, talking hockey, amongst other things. Really a great guy. The world was a much better place with him in it.

There are some great stories for sure. 

One he and I always would reminisce on was our hockey games we would go to. Brandon was a huge Devils fan, yeah go figure, an Angels/Devils/Red Devil die hard!!

We hit up Luck Baldwins for the typical 6 am type of start for the United game and followed that up with a night cap at Staples for the Kings/Devils game. This was back in the days of Marty Brodeur and the Devils run. Brandon being his typical self, began loudly cheering for Marty and the Devils. I had to adapt quickly as people were getting heated at him so I started loudly talking crap on the Devils and anything related to New Jersey, including the Sopranos. Brandon of course went all in on the kings and talking crap on Los Angeles. For the last two periods of the game our entire section was laughing and at the end we had people coming up to us thanking us for the experience and even giving us their contact info. I wont talk about the rest of that evening......

I am having a tough time today. I knew him best from 2005-2011ish. When you get married and have kids, your priorities change and you lose touch with some and with others, you correspond less and less frequently. You think you're doing the right thing - pouring your life into your wife and kids because "that's the way it goes." Everyone understands that, right? Well fuck man. While I didn't fully lose touch with him - we texted about superficial nonsense once in a while - I certainly wasn't there for him. 

I will say this. Whatever perception people had of Brandon, I knew him as an aspirational, big-hearted soul who had the courage to be vulnerable in intimate (no gay) situations. He was a better friend to me than I was to him. I'm guessing many others would feel the same.

No doubt man......no doubt. I know I am guilty of this but also knew that when we did talk, he was loving where I was in my journey. I wish my son had got to know him better over the years.
