Seriously. He deserved a suspension for breaking the rules, not a banning, and not five years. 

The Astros cheated in order to win a World Series, the same thing the "Black" Sox did, and none of the players, management, and/or owner was banned.

Tbf, he was hardly alone in that opinion.

I think the better question is if the Braves knew Maitan was a bust by the time he was a free agent.

Since Arte likes names, I wonder if that was part of the reason why they signed Maitan. Other teams may have already realized he wasn’t as good as he was hyped up to be.
