I would have a hard time concluding he tanked.  We can’t say that based on him sucking here alone.

But I also would not exclude it from being possible.

A guy at the end of his career could do something like that to try to get himself into a postseason situation.

Yep on August 26th in the 9th he face 3 batters and only struck out 2 of them.  What a loser.

I never understood why he was included in the Iglesias trade to begin with.

The Angels had no use for him at that point and would’ve better off giving that spot to a young RP, like they rid now by DFA’ing Chavez and leaving Marte up.

No that’s not what I said.  I didn’t say pitching awful would MAKE him attractive.  I said it’s possible a player could collude with another team to get himself into a better situation.
