Gameday Thread (8/27/22) Angels @ Blue Jays - Ohtani vs Manoah

Oakland A's commentators in the 9th against the Stankees brought up the Judge/Ohtani MVP discussion and the color commentator talked about Ohtani's win record/era/k's per inning pitched and then said "and I'm looking to find that line for Aaron Judge, but I don't see his ERA, his WHIP, I don't know if it got lost in the paperwork or something but I can't seem to find it..."

Awesome backhand shitting on Judge and anyone who's in question about who should get it.

That is the most bizarre stat I have seen. How are we as bad as we are? Lmao.

When this season ends it will be interesting to analyze what went wrong, and what can we do to correct it.  As of now, I think the biggest thing in a nutshell was focusing entirely on pitching, and not balancing it out with depth on offense.  It was like an overcorrection for what we were seeing in the past few seasons.  We now have pitching, and it looks very promising for the next few years if we can keep Ohtani, and add a top tier starte,r plus tweek the bullpen a little.  Now we just have to breathe some life into the offense, and bolster it with better depth to withstand inevitable injuries.

This

Plus, we saw the domino effect in full vision.

Good starting pitching leads to more and more good dusting pitching.

Bad hitting leads to more and more bad hitting.

Bad late innings relief leads to more and more bad late innings relief.

First thing the position players can do after the season is to burn any memories of this season.   Well, unless you are Trout, Ohtani, Rengifo, or Fletcher
