That's because you can have a guy like Luka, for example, cover for a ton of flaws and drag a roster of 2nd rounders and UDFA's to a WCF. Can't do that in baseball. Mavs have been completely butchering the draft for like 2 decades, made fools out of themselves in free agency for years (DeAndre Jordan debacle), have a meddling owner just like the Angels, had their own sexual harassment scandal, etc. But no one knows about that, because they did well this year.

anyone who thinks the Angels are the worst sports franchise doesn't follow sports.  Or anything to do with sports.  or maybe life in general.  or they might not even be human.  or organic.  maybe spores.  spores might think we're the worst franchise.  But I think it's 50/50.  Most of the spores I've talked to are on the fence.

If we were the worst organization is sports Ohtani and Trout would have been traded long ago for a bucket of baseballs and cash.

 

Say what you want about Arte but there are much worse owners in both MLB, and in the other major sports.
