I stopped having any real expectations for this team after 2018 tbh, so if they ever are good it'll be a pleasant surprise. This probably was the first season since then where I thought they could maybe be a WC threat if things break right. Maybe they still get there....things look really bleak right now though. Still a lot of games left though

Was never a fan of the Maddon hire, and nothing in these 3 seasons has shown anything to keep him on board moving forward. If there is one takeaway from this dreadful losing streak, hopefully it's the early removal of Maddon as manager instead of it happening after the season when his contract is up

Hard to find that split. Buuuut. 12 of those losses finished the 1988 season. 13 was 1989 Opening Day. 12 has to be the longest streak contained within one season, even though it isn't a record on its own.
