The most games Stassi has started at catcher in his entire career is 80 and he did that last year.

Suzuki is going to start twice a week at minimum. It sucks. I don't know why we brought him back. But it's the reality of the situation.

He's improved by leaps and bounds in the last year. He went from an experimental extra catcher, like Taylor Ward to an actual backup catcher. I'm guessing he gets his shot at some point this year.

Plus there’s a chance we see an electronic strike zone so pitch framing will no longer be a factor.  That could help some young catchers the same way the shift has allowed lesser fielders to become middle infielders.  Think Moose at 2b.  That may well end.

Side note: it sounds like they've pumped up the crowd noise on the broadcast, perhaps in an attempt to make it seem like the announcers are actually in the stadium or something?  lol
