It's early, the weather conditions in the game yesterday were "unique", and there was the whole shortened ST this year so the smart play is to give him some time to find his footing but there some unsettling signs early on. Velocity on his 4 seamer is down pretty significantly and his already awful batted ball data is even worse.  I watched him pitch yesterday, the CWS bats weren't missing anything and everything they swung at was torqued, even though it was damn near a monsoon.  

Anyway, it's probably the Angel fan in me given our horrible run of bad 3+ year contracts but when the guy you gave five years to comes out of the gate throwing 92 when he's been 95, and his already near league leading exit velocities get even worse aaaaaaaand the hard hit rate spikes from 43% to 52%.... Oof, that will make you clench up a bit.

Blue jays had bases loaded no outs in the top of the ninth down 3, and the game ends on a little looper to second but Matt Chapman got doubled off to end the game. Vlad would’ve been up next (0-4 with 4ks tonight)
