I don't get it. He's being offered 7/$213.5M for 2023-29. He's 30 years old - that's $30.5M a year for his age 31-37 seasons. He had one great year in 2017, five years ago, and has been very good since - but not among the very best in the game. What exactly does he think he's worth?

Yeah, it's baffling.  There's no way he's going to get more than that when he hits free agency.

According to @Blarg he's almost as good as Ohtani.

Judge has averaged 120 games per year over the last 3 full seasons.

In 2020, he only played in 28 games.

With the bat, he is. Actually, that's what is so great about Ohtani: He's Aaron Judge + Lucas Gioloto combined.

I think it sucks that a reliever who starts the 10th inning and allows the runner who was placed on 2B to score is charged with an earned run.
