Which will then lead to them probably signing one of the top hitter FA's like Seager or Correa....which, cool, but they're still in the same position they've been in for years where they don't have good enough pitching to ever matter

I said this back in October, but it comes down to Arte not wanting to let his former GM (Dipoto) outbid him in the AL West this year. 

Arte needs to figure it out. 

Almost seems fitting that to get solid rotation they'll need to sign Stroman and then trade for Castillo.
