Limited the Astros to three hits and just gave up a solo dong. Quality start. 

His biggest correction was not throwing it in the zone ahead of the count. That killed him in his first starts. 

Love that curveball though. Damn!

I agree Taylor. Given what we've seen so far it would appear that Reid Detmers is a pitcher and he is likely to continue to be interested in baseball.

His 74 MPH curve was wicked good today.

Most impressive was only 87 pitches in 6 innings, only 21 in innings 5-6.

Finishing strong is never, eeever a bad thing.

His curve is beautiful but I’m quite surprised in how well his slider seems to be working.  Next step is to improve on that change-up and ride his fastball lower in the zone.

I was surprised that the home run was on a slider, according to game day.  When I have seen him both breaking balls appear to be plus pitches.

He just needs to learn to throw out of the zone and make hitters chase.
