IPPEI be talking.

Lol. I thought that too. Like this is where translators get interesting. He basically called out the Angels org holding him back and thought there should be more fans there? Lol. Though I hope he legit said that, because that would be awesome.

Trivia Fact: John Wayne developed his delayed speech patterns to buy more screen time for the few lines he had in his early movie career.

Health is the only thing that can keep him from the MVP at this point.  Good thing that Trout is no longer the best player on his own team, nice problem to have.  90 wins coming.....

Trout is still the best player on the planet.  He isn't being surpassed by someone that is hitting .273.

If Trout wasn't hurt, he'd probably be among the league leaders in most offensive categories, and likely leading a few by a wide margin - OBP, SLG, WAR.

But outside of Vladdy reaching yet another level, which may not even be possible, you're correct.  Health is likely the only thing standing in Shohei's way.  He's on pace to get some Cy Young votes and hit 40 HR and steal 25 bags.

There has never been, nor do I believe there ever will be another Shohei Ohtani.  Ankiel didn't do them simultaneously.  Lorenzen is more of a closer and defensive specialist.  The closest is probably Brendan McKay out of TB. Figures to be a power bat off the bench or platoon option at 1B, and a solid #2/3 starter.

But no one is going to be among the 20 best hitters, 20 best pitchers and 20 best base runners in baseball all at the same time.  Not only does it take a unique, broad spectrum of talent and athleticism that simply doesn't exist but once every 20 years maybe, but it takes the right team that's willing to develop them on both sides of the ball in the minors, and take their lumps in the majors, but they'll also need to remain healthy.

I just don't picture it ever being an option.  Also, why would a team even develop them both ways anyway? What's the payout, you might end up with a Jared Walsh type that can start at 1B, but also work as a low leverage lefty in the bullpen? As soon as he became valuable at the plate, they had him stop pitching. Why? There's no advantage in it.

That fake tweet had nothing to do with not liking someone. It was just a joke about Maddon warming guys up early. To make it look legit, I went with someone recognizable.

I was joking calm down pls

Even Vlad Jr. said Ohtani is the MVP.  Ohtani may end up leading the league in HR and OPS, oh yeah and hes a top rotation starter too.   Not even a conversation.  Again, only a health issue will keep him away.

That was fake and the Angels broadcast fell for it.
