I mentioned this when he was hired, but being a President/GM of a minor league team is very different from those positions at the major league level.  In his current role, he's more of an operations guy.  It's not like minor league GMs have any say at all in player development, career path-ing, etc.  It's strictly a business role.  My guess is that the owner of the Frisco Roughriders doesn't really give a shit if Rojas gives his opinion about a pitching decision on a major league team that's different from the one Frisco is affiliated with.  He's probably more concerned about whether Rojas got a local high school band to play the National Anthem before the game next Saturday, if Conifer Health Solutions Employee Night is still happening in August, and if the Cowboy Monkey Rodeo is going to get shut down by PETA before they're scheduled to appear.

Just seems ill advised to get on the “fan level” for a guy like Victor.  I mean as a general rule.  Anyway.  Probably doesn’t matter.  Wasn’t even really that bad.  Victor had a few times in the Angels broadcast booth where he was pretty critical of players if I’m remembering right.  So I guess it’s not totally an out of no where thing for him.
