I've watched more non-Angels games this year than I probably have in the last decade combined. If you think it's only us that is constantly placing guys on the IL, you're wrong. It's a topic of conversation on every broadcast.

Injuries in MLB were up 19% over the same time in 2019 last week, I believe that number has since gone up.

We don’t have any starting pitching depth in the upper minors....Sandoval maybe, unless you think Barria. or Suarez can figure it out....maybe Detmers moves quickly....

Barria has had two seasons of 3.62 ERA as a starter.  What has Suarez done?  

Sandavol is looking good in the pen.  However he tends to get hit after the first time theough the order.

For now, I’d keep Sandoval in the pen....Suarez is all potential.....he has struggled....but maybe they see something coming together....

I though Barria started Thursday and Monday was 5 days.  I miscounted its four days.  Still would go with Barria over Suarez

What is causing the big increase so early in the season?

They should never put Barria in for relief.   Starting is clearly his forte.

Agreed.  He has had 0 success as a reliever.   He has had success as a starter.
