I know it spring training..but one thing that needs to be consider is the BALLS! But they are flying!

Quintana is getting his work in. He's in the 90s on the pitch count and finished 5 innings.

The home runs ... well ... anyway.

I gotta say, I know people are still getting used to Sutton, but he has really forced Gubi (and Mota) to analyze the action on the field in ways the Rojas never could.

I'm not going to put money on it, but I would not be shocked at all if they win 3 out of every 4 games they play.

I think the Plan/goal with Rodriguez maybe similar to how Sale and Richards got into the Rotation. 

Both guys cam up thru the Bullpen, Sale spend 2 years and Richards was up and down in the Bullpen, and than finally broke into the rotation. 

For Rodriguez its a little difficult with his back injury, but that may be the goal. If his body can hold the work load and he dominating in long strings he might move into the Rotation. 

He's probably going to be our 2 inning guy.

why would you think it's a hard on for that? It burns my ass that they're still that good.  Yeah, we all hope they lose 120 games.   There's a big difference between acknowledgement and admiration.

I noticed that too and appreciate Sutton for doing that. 

I'm happy to have him back, wish he'd work the radio booth when Vasgersian is on the TV broadcast.

I do agree, but sometimes I just want to relax and watch the game without turning every pitch into a TED Talk analysis.

Sut needs to find a balance (and I think he will) between expert analysis and let-the-pictures-tell-the-story.  A bit of this microscope analysis is good, but I'm going to be tired of this stuff if it goes for 200+ pitches a game multiplied by 162 games.

Sooo, about that reporter (or scout?) who said Mayers is a concern early on this spring?

Past 7.1 innings:

3 hits, 0 runs, 1 HBP, 0 BBs, 12 Ks

Seems like vintage 2020 Mayers to me.
