Well, yeah.  He can coach kid in college, obviously, but is he good at it?  I have no idea. And being a pitching coach at the major league level is different than coaching a college team, I would imagine. 

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Weave or Percy on the coaching staff, provided they can actually have an impact and not just create some nostalgia for the fans.

No doubt. UCR (my alma mater) has a shit baseball team, so it's hard to tell. I just miss their presence on the team.

Is Dave Duncan still working as an advisor in AZ?   I know he's in his 70s but, he was the best there was for a long time.

Or Leo Mazzone?  Another guy in his 70's who had those great pitching staffs on the Braves.

He's an advisor for the White Sox. I believe La Russa wanted Duncan to be his pitching coach, as he was his pitching coach in OAK and STL, but Duncan didn't want to, I believe.

Yeah, figured LaRussa would seek him out again.  Wasn't aware he had left AZ for CWS.
