The women's hockey game between Canada and the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) on Monday morning looked different than most hockey games will at the Beijing Olympics. First, the game was delayed due to safety concerns over COVID-19 because the ROC did not give Canada its COVID-19 test results.

That delay lasted for an hour. Then, when the game did begin, every player on the ice was wearing a mask.

Sweden declare pandemic over, despite warnings from scientists

Sweden scrapped almost all of its few pandemic restrictions on Wednesday and stopped most testing for COVID-19, even as the pressure on the healthcare systems remained high and some scientists begged for more patience in fighting the disease.

It’s funny because the virus cases have plummeted and public testing sites are empty now. Biden doing this is like the end of the Angels’ season when they go on a winning streak when they are out of the playoff picture

US urges Canada to use federal powers to end bridge blockade

The Biden administration urged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government Thursday to use its federal powers to end the truck blockade by Canadians protesting the country’s COVID-19 restrictions, as the bumper-to-bumper demonstration forced auto plants on both sides of the border to shut down or scale back production.

For the fourth straight day, scores of truckers taking part in what they dubbed the Freedom Convoy blocked the Ambassador Bridge connecting Windsor, Ontario, to Detroit, disrupting the flow of auto parts and other products between the two countries.

The White House said Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg spoke with their Canadian counterparts and urged them to help resolve the standoff.

Federal Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino said Royal Canadian Mounted Police reinforcements are being sent to Windsor, Ottawa and Coutts, Alberta where another border blockade is happening.

If this happened in the US.  Antifa would have shown up.  Riots would have ensued.  And the truckers would have been blamed.

From what I can tell, it's a peaceful protest.  Yet the Canadian and American governments want to inflame tensions as much as possible to label them terrorists and shut them down, preferably with force.
