Does it really matter what Dana White says?  I mean I like the UFC but White is like most other fight promoters, 95% bluster.

This is how I feel about Joe Rogan. He used to bring people on his show and just let them talk; about a year ago he began spewing stuff himself, and most of what he's spewing is BS.

The shows where he has his comic friends on are still fun, but everything else is basically a repeat of the same five talking points over and over again.

Of course not, but then you have people who hear what he says, and think to themselves (in the shadow of their bias): this sounds true to me and thus must be true. Then they go and present it in a tone that makes it seem like what he said is actually fact and unassailable, which it sure as heck wasn't.

Most of his shows have who have their own opinions.  I still think it is one of the more reasonable shows overall in the sense you will get a wide variety of opinions you won't get almost anywhere else.

Quote

The letter had been instigated by a December 31, 2021 episode featuring Robert Malone, a physician that has been identified in recent months as a potent spreader of COVID-19 vaccine misinformation, who, among other things, described the trust that most Americans show in the vaccination effort as a “mass formation psychosis.”

Sounds very reasonable to me.

People can absolutely find doctors to prescribe ivermectin if they want it. That's totally fine and if people want to do that, go for it.

However, Dana White doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to monoclonal antibodies.

Ivermectin can be got but the monoclonal antibodies are very hard to get now.

Right, but it's not because there's some sort of refusal to order them. They were being ordered like crazy. It's because the mabs that they did have all lined up turned out to be ineffective for Omicron, which based on timing is not what White had. So he's not wrong in saying that anybody could have had them before and now they can't, but it's not because something fishy is going on in this regard.

My PCR test, unsurprisingly, came back positive.

The craziest thing about it is that @SlappyUtilityMIF told me that PCR tests were no longer going to be offered once we started the engine on 2022. It's shocking to me that some people were misinformed about that. SHOCKING.

Are you feeling better yet?
