I get what Strad is saying, but it was good that Ausmus didn’t single anyone out.    It was a team wide vent, much better than individual callings out.

I like that he's candid in interviews now, where before he just came across as a dick that didn't care. I still don't care for him, but hopefully that will change.

They just got spanked at home by a division rival who they are directly competing with in the Wild Card...he said what people are thinking.  I don't know how it will play in the clubhouse but I'd assume they wouldn't have much objection since no one specifically was called out.

I never didn't like him but not psyched about the hire either.  

Managers look like geniuses with great talent (see Ned Yost) but "terrible" with bad talent - that's how it works.

There was really nothing Ausmus did this series that prevented them from winning.  The hitters couldn't hit, the pitchers couldn't pitch and the fielders couldn't field...it's hard to manage that better.

This is a 75-80 win team and there are very few managers who could turn it into a 90-win contender.

This week will be our last stand for 2019. If we do poorly in Texas and Houston we should be prepared to sell and look forward to 2020 and beyond.

But we've got a chance to go to Texas and Houston, and hopefully finish on the right foot going into the break."
