Unfortunately not all umps are created equal. The strike zone differs for most umpires. It’s been that way since the game was created. What’s important is that it’s the same for both teams.

Took him 87 pitches to get there. He's on a count; Ausmus said last time he wasn't going past 90 with Suarez.

Unfortunately it isn't the same for both teams.  Inconsistencies are the problem and need to be remedied.

it wasn't and it changed from batter to batter on both sides.  

lot's of things that used to happen don't anymore because they were stupid or technology has made them obsolete.
